Managing Director for SAATEN-UNION Polska Sp. z o.o.

Main Responsibilities

• Overall commercial management, with reporting line to the Headquarter in Germany
• Provide and implement business plans to facilitate achievement by planning cost effective operations and market development activities for SAATEN-UNION products on the territory of Poland
• Setting strategy on customer/product placement, production and sales targets for SAATEN-UNION portfolio
• Permanent Market analysis and business development
• Create, manage and oversee company budgets in line with shareholders expectations
• Oversee the company’s financial performance and investment strategy in line with the headquarter and shareholders
• Observe, evaluate and supervise all staff activities to reward performance, prevent issues, and resolve problems
• Company nominated representative on relevant trade associations and in communication with official bodies (COBORU etc)
• Ensure company policies and legal guidelines are communicated throughout the company and that they are adhered to.
• Monitoring of licensed seed production of SAATEN-UNION varieties in Poland (
• Maintaining contact with official variety testing institutions
• Regular reporting of all key results and findings in the field of variety testing, seed production and sales

Requirements

• Experience in management position
• Experience in developing strategic and business plans
• Understanding of corporate finance and familiarity with corporate law
• Good organisational and leadership skills
• Good communication interpersonal and presentation skills
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of the agricultural sector
• Computer skills and MS Office packages
• Driving licence cat B
• Knowledge of English (or German), spoken and written

Profile

• Degree in Agriculture, Business, Economics or similar discipline
• Assertive, with strong self-motivation
• High level of numeracy and results orientated
• focus on the commercial operation of sales
• Excellent interpersonal skills – with the ability to lead a team
